She is Beauty (Citrus Bath)
Hey Folks
I just want to say that I truly feel blessed to be alive, happy, and healthy. Today is gonna be a great day for me. Well the first line of business is a meeting with a magazine then I am attending this amazing event to support my friend Jess (posted in the bulletin section). I am such a homebody but I make it a point to come out and support good people when I can. Speaking of being a homebody I am about to change that this September. Sometimes working from home can make you nutty (lol). I need to get out more and meet people and dance.
Anywho…Ok so lately I have noticed that my energy level has been really low so I decided to take a citrus bath with dead sea salt.
So I went to whole foods and bought a bag of lemons and a few oranges.
Ingredients Needed:
3 lemons
2 oranges
Dead Sea Salt
Candles…Don’t burn your house down
Steps for Citrus bath
• Squeeze the lemons and orange juice into a little bowl.
• Run warm bath water and add about two spoonfuls of dead sea salt to the water.
• Feel free to set a relaxing mood with candles and by dimming the lights
• Bathe with the citrus juice
• Once your done with your relaxing bath take a quick shower and get right into bed
Do you know that the next day I could barely get up. No seriously I was in and out of sleep until 4pm LMAO. I know right…its crazy. That’s why if you decide to do it, it should not be during the work week. I felt so relaxed and rejuvenated. But I think I was already tired and then the dead Sea salt (which will extract toxins from your system) made me more tired but I needed the rest.
BENEFITS OF CITRUS
• The antioxidants found in citrus have been proven to protect the skin from free radicals. Free radicals are those little suckers that can damage skin cells and cause early signs of aging.
• The two compounds (polymethosxylated flavones (PMFs) and d-limonene) found in the citrus peel have been found to balance blood sugar, and activate liver detoxification.
• Serotonin is your brains “Happy chemical”…it makes you feel good. Folate is believed to play a role in the creation of serotonin and oranges are high in folate. So this means that just the aroma of oranges can aid in making you feel relaxed. You may even want to try using orange essential oils and putting a few drops on your pillow if you are having trouble sleeping.
Happy Bathing,
Xoxo

2. This statement cracks me up: “Free radicals are those little suckers that can damage skin cells and cause early signs of aging.” (ha ha ha ha ha ha) no-no to this
3. I am definitely trying this very soon!!
Thanks for sharing:)
