She is Inspiring

Hey Fam,

So last week I was an honoree at an amazing event in DC. It was called “The Diva Lounge: Celebrating Fearless Females” and was held at Policy Restaurant & Lounge. First of all I totally heart the venue and thought it was perfect for this kind of event. The walls were covered with graffiti and there were different colored funky chandeliers all throughout. I had a ball! My amazing friends and family came out to support me and I also met tons of other amazing “fearless females” at the event. Overall the room was filled with lots of love and lots of networking and I feel blessed that they asked me to be a part of it.

The Diva Lounge originated in New York City as a networking event designed to connect female tastemakers as well as introduce them to premium lifestyle brands. For this event, the Diva Lounge partnered with DC-based entrepreneur Kimberly Natasha for a special two-part event series. The first part of the night was an exclusive women’s only reception where the ladies got a chance to strengthen rolodexes and resources with like-minded women. The second part of the night was the “after- party” where invitations were extended to gentleman to enjoy the celebration of Washington D.C.’s “Divas.”

Sirius XM Radio personality Shayna D, and Baltimore R&B sensation Paula Campbell were the hosts.

Other honorees for the event included: Dawn Richard (Bad Boy Recording Artist), Joi-Marie McKenzie (Founder/Editor-In-Chief, The Fab! Empire & Writer, NBC Washington) and Yodit Gebreyes (Talk of DC).
