She is Uplifting
Happy Friday Family,
I wanted to make this post a friendly loving reminder that you are unique, beyond phenomenal, and can achieve anything you want.
I talk to so many people—aspiring designers, writers, and a whole host of other entrepreneurs or just people that want to break into the entertainment world and I have noticed one main trait in most of those people. They believe that even the small things that they want are extremely unattainable. So I have come up with 5 tips that may help with breaking the “unattainable mentality” barrier.
1. ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE
If you don’t believe it look at stories like Tyler Perry who went from being a homeless man to a multi millionaire. We can assume at some point he started believing things WERE attainable and that he did deserve greatness! So if you can just say one affirmation a day or a week like maybe every Monday to start your week off, I think that will help boost your confidence.
Something along the lines of:
“I am phenomenal and will continue to draw all of the people and things I need towards me to make my dreams come true”
2. THEY GOT THE JOB AND YOU DIDN’T
Yes my loves, while you are twiddling your thumbs trying to decide whether or not to do something, someone, somewhere has already gotten started. The point is “Just Do It”. You have nothing to loose and all people can say is “no” and “no” is NOT a bad thing. Always remember that you need all the “no”s to get you to the right “Yes”
3. IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHERE TO START ASK SOMEONE
The BEST thing you can do when you don’t know is to ask. If you don’t know who to ask, start with anyone close to you and go from there. You will be surprised at how many “good” people are left in the world that will give you advice and go out of their way to help you. Never assume that you have to conquer the “success” journey alone.
4. GOOGLE IS YOUR BEST FRIEND
Start to do goggle searches on what you want. I know that this can get overwhelming at times because it does for me lol. Because so many sites will come up and it is sometimes hard to decipher which ones are good and which ones are trash. Maybe you can start with tackling a few sites a day for research purposes.
5. GET OUT OF YOUR HOUSE
If you are already doing this then wonderful! If you are shy then this is something you HAVE to work on. Reaching and maintaining your dreams is all about good relationships. Go out to some networking events and if you can, go by yourself. Going by yourself might be terrifying but it will force you to get out of your shell. The more you do it, the easier it gets. Even if you are too scared to approach someone, more than likely someone will approach you at some point and introduce themselves. Make sure you bring business cards to pass out and leave on a few tables at the event.
I hope these tips were helpful and please feel free to leave a comment with what works or doesn’t work for you…
Have a fun weekend!
Xoxo
