Hey Ladies,

Ok so I was debating on what to do todays beauty post on and the word that came to me is convenient so it made me think of olive oil. Most of the people I know have olive oil in their cabinet even if they don’t use it all the time so I wanted to list 4 great ways you can use olive oil for beauty. Olive oil is rich with natural fats which makes it great for ultra moisturizing and replenishing dry hair or even chapped skin. Please make sure you are not allergic to olives before trying these tips

1. Hydration For The Hair

You can use olive oil as a great deep conditioning treatment. You can shampoo your hair, rinse, and use a wide tooth comb to apply the olive oil from root to tip. Use a throw away clear plastic shower cap and leave it on for fifteen to thirty minutes. For a hot oil treatment do these same steps but heat the oil first for about a minute in the microwave and then pour over the hair in the shower but make sure its not scorching hot.

2. Mani’s and Pedi’s

Incorporating olive oil into your mani and pedi routine can leave your skin feeling soft and looking radiant. For a deep skin conditioning apply a generous amount of olive oil and wrap your hands and feet or ask someone to wrap your hands lol and leave on for fifteen to twenty minutes.  You can also use olive oil to gently push back your cuticles when you are giving yourself a manicure.

3. Makeup Removal

If you don’t own an actual makeup remover like me then you can put a little olive oil on a tissue or on a Q-tip and use that to get the makeup off. Vaseline does the trick too if you don’t have olive oil.

4. Exfoliation

You can mix olive oil and sugar in a bowl to make a paste. It is great because you can use it to gently exfoliate your lips or you can use it in the shower as a body scrub. Just remember that with exfoliation it is probably best to not do it everyday. Doing it once a week or a few times a month should do the trick.
