I wore my hair natural this past summer and it was soooo dry. I decided some months back that I wanted to grow it out long again and for my hair that means I have to wear it straight mostly because when I wear it natural it breaks off as fast as its growing and I don’t notice any length. So lately I have been rotating. One week I wear it natural and the next week I wear it straightened. I have also been taking vitamin b and doing weekly scalp massages with Rosemary oil. The other day I decided to try out my new products for my curly week.
Steps:
1. I gently combed out my hair in sections before shampooing
2. After I shampooed I combed the conditioner in and left it for about fifteen minutes. I rinsed my hair in lukewarm water and then patted it dry a little
3. I used about a quarter sized amount of this bounce cream and mixed a few drops of water so that it wasn’t as concentrated and applied it to my hair
4. Just an FYI, I don’t comb or brush my hair after that initial time when I am combing the conditioner through…I just use my fingers to style.
5. After I put in the bounce cream I took my diffuser and flipped my hair over and scrunched my curls.
6. Once my hair was completely dry I took my flat iron and used it on large sections on the roots of my hair to elongate the curls and give my hair a full look
7. At night I do not comb or brush I just put the top part of my hair in a ponytail that sits directly on top of my head and put the rest in a ponytail in the back
This was about a week ago and my hair is still soft and bouncy(fluffy). I like that the products didn’t leave a residue but still helped add a lot of definition to my curls. I think because I am not combing that helps the curls stay in tact. I think the mistake I made over the summer is that I was combing it out every night which was adding wear and tear to my tresses.
