Clinique 3-Step Cleansing System Review:
Hey She-Blog Readers!!
I’m a lover of many things and among those things beauty products rank pretty high on the poll. From bright shadows to defining mascaras to bold lipsticks and shiny glosses, I have it all! I must say though that my favorite beauty product is not mercilessly shoved into my cosmetic bag with all those other things. Instead it sits in my bathroom’s medicine cabinet and greets me every morning and night. Clinique’s 3-Step Cleansing System is one of my prized possessions. I’m a firm believer that blush, shadows, liners, glosses and whatever else serve no purpose without a clean, healthy palette to display on. A clean face is a pretty face even the days you decide to step out without make-up!
How It Works…
There are 3 steps, and from beginning to end the process takes about 4 minutes! Okay, so it consists of Liquid Facial Soap (step-1), Clarifying Lotion2 (step-2) and Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion2 (step-3). The number 2 after my clarifying lotion and moisturizing lotion indicate my skin type which is a combination of oily and dry. Your numbers may change depending on your skin. The Liquid Facial Soap cleanses your face and gets rid of all the yucky, built up oil and dirt. The Clarifying Lotion is like a toner. It helps even the skin tone, opens up your pores and removes any remaining residue that you didn’t wash off. It has a tingling sensation too that I love! Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion is the last step and it is so awesome. It really leaves the skin so silky and soft. Literally one squirt works and hydrates your entire face.
The Pros…
The pros of Clinique’s 3-Step Cleansing System are many!!! I have extremely sensitive skin but since June 19th, 2010 (yes, I still remember the date) when I attended Macy’s Spa Day and was introduced to the product I have not had an allergic reaction. The ingredients really do a good, deep cleanse even when you’ve piled on and caked up foundation and powder. One of the best perks is that it seems endless. The containers are a decent size and you only need a drop of each to get the job done! I’ve also noticed evenness in my complexion.
The Cons…
The cons are….hmmmm….. I seriously can’t think of any. I have never had an issue with this product. The only thing I can think of is it’s heartbreaking when you’re preparing for your morning cleanse and realize that you’re all out!! I’m so serious. The concoction is really addictive and running out really puts a damper on my day. As a matter of fact I’m on my last drops now so I’ll be restocking this Friday!
Clinique’s 3-Step Cleansing System runs me $60 at Macy’s Clinique counter. It lasts about 4 months so I figure $15 a month invested in my skin is ridiculously cheap and well worth every buck! There are smaller sized sets that cost cheaper but I use it every morning and night so I just pay a little more for the big bottles.
The Results…
I’m normally not too picky about beauty brands but I never compromise on cleanser. I’m so addicted to this stuff for no reason other than IT WORKS! It’s amazing and over time as I applied it every morning and night I began to notice a new softness and radiance to my skin. Even when I’m bare it’s not uncommon for one of my classmates or co-workers to ask what kind of foundation I use. It always shocks them when I say I’m not wearing any.
Will I buy it again?
Without a doubt I will continue to purchase this product! It’s almost been a year since I purchased my first 3-Step Cleansing System from Clinique and I have never been this satisfied with any other brand. Don’t be alarmed if you notice a few bumps here and there the first 2 or 3 days you use it. That’s just the cleanser bringing to surface all of your skin’s impurities. They’ll quickly go away!
