Canterbury Reports Essay
Geoffery Chaucer, a male known as a " Father of English Literature” wrote The Canterbury Stories, which contributed to the development of English language Literature. Chaucer has motivated many people through his writtings. Geoffery Chaucer was developed in London, Great britain in 1340. Chaucer started writting The Canterbury Tales when he was about 40 years old, but regrettably did not complete it. The Canterbury Tales tells a story about 35 people over a pilgrimage. Along this pilgrimage they amuse themselves simply by telling reports to one another. Chaucher the " Father of English Literature” is known as probably the most English poets in the Middle Age range, due to his works. In " Lifespan and Times of Chaucer” is usually states " Englands great poet of gentleness and compassionn walked every day in a city... ”(140). Through Irony, Humor, and Religious Criticism Chaucer is definitely proven to be the " Dad of The english language Literature”.
Geoffery Chaucer is definitely the " Father of English Literature” through his usage of irony. Chaucer uses paradox to attack many of the personas in The Canterbury Tales. The Friar makes everyone believe that he's a respectable, and humble man, in reality this individual really wants to always be known with all the wealthy.
