Do you ever reminisce about a mate that you had in your early years? Maybe you have ever been aged deeply in love with an individual and interested in his or her natural beauty? WB Yeats' poem " When You Are Old and Grey” is a poem that this individual wrote to show those feelings. The man once loved a lady who this individual never appears to forget actually at his old age. Although he was overlooked by the woman, he nonetheless fells the same way he believed towards her at a very young age regardless of the woman's denial as he mentions in his poem: " how love fled” – series 10
The structure of the poem is balanced since it provides 3 stanzas, all while using same range of lines, that was 4. The poem is 12 lines in total. The mood can be unhappy, frustrated, and nostalgic of the romance that he lost and left him broken hearted. Sadness is usually shown inside the writer's tone as well as affection and passion. The sadness is definitely shown the moment Yeats explained: " Murmuration, murmuring, mussitation, mutter, muttering a little unfortunately " collection 10. " And imagine the gentle look your eyes had once and of their shadows deep”-line 4 proves the writer's popularity of his aged lover with out matter how much she transformed, he really loves her just as he " loved the sorrows of [her] changing face” –line 8.
The composition has beat and some rhyming words contain: " sleep-deep” –line you and 5, " book-look”-line2 and three or more, ”grace-face”line 5 and 8, and the list goes on. WB Yeats' dialect is very descriptive. He brings up a lot of details just like " while you are old and grey and packed with sleep”-line 1 . The writer is also capable of keep on talking about his mate by duplicating " and” in the start off of most with the lines. The poem includes literary products such as the representation shown in " take pleasure in fled” –line 10.
